COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Response
NOTE: We are regularly updating this page, please check the bottom of the post for the latest update time.
While I’m sure we have all received many, many updates about COVID-19, I felt it important to make sure we are addressing the situation as well.
Here at Computing Technologies, we remain committed to being your business IT provider and working with you to achieve exceptional service!
In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we are, however, making a few changes for the time being in order to protect our employees, their families, and our clients as well.
What Are We Doing?
- Three Week Pause (November 18 2020 – December 08 2020) – All on-site (in-person) work will only be performed when an emergency arises, all other work will be restricted to remote work, as dictated by the three-week epidemic order.
- We will be requiring clients to complete a quick COVID-19 related form before we schedule any on-site visits.
- As the infection rates for Michigan continue to rise at an alaming rate after partial re-openings, we are continuing our remote-work policy, which states: Effective immediately our staff will be conducting support and providing our services from a remote location (such as a home office) whenever possible, and will only make on-site visits where remote work is not feasible, or if the client has a dire need for us to be on-site, such as an emergency outage.
- If our employees do need to make an on-site visit, they will be required to wear a mask or face covering at a minimum, and some may choose to wear gloves as well.
- If you prefer us to make an on-site visit for any reason or have a need for us to be on-site for an issue, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate that request as safely as possible.
- If you feel we are not doing enough to protect ourselves or you and your team, please contact us as soon as possible.
- We will be cancelling all non-essential business travel, and asking employees to self-quarantine for a minimum of 14 days if they have traveled to a high-impact area for any reason.
- We will ask employees that have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 to self-quarantine for 14 days at minimum, and to schedule a test for themselves, which must test negative, before they will be able to return to making any on-site visits.
Help Us!
- During this time if we do need to make an on-site visit, we ask that you assist our employees in practicing the recommended social distancing of at least six feet and allow them this space to conduct their required work until they are finished.
- Update as of 03/24/2020 – We ask that we have exclusive access to the room where work may need to be performed.
- Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, keyboards, mice, cellphones, printers, light switches, and more!
- Please be sure to disinfect working area if we do need to make an on-site visit, both before our staff arrives for the required work, and again after they leave.
- Communicate and reinforce hand washing and disinfecting practices with your employees as well.
- Stay up to date on COVID-19 from the CDC here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
- Michigan specific information here: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus
- Most importantly, if you are sick, please stay home.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will continue to make adjustments to this notice and our policies as the situation changes.
